Top stocks traded by mutual funds in February 2023 

Fund managers buy and sell stocks to maximize profits based on the category the fund belongs to. Here's a look at the top stocks traded.

 


Mutual fund (MF) participation in the secondary market slowed in February, according to a Nuvama Research report. The MF said he had bet Rs 128 crore, but a foreign institutional investor (FII) sold him Rs 550 crore in the Indian secondary market, the report said.

Key additions from MF include Reliance Industries, HDFC, and Interglobe Aviation. According to Abhilash Pagaria, head of Nuvama Alternative & Quantitative Research, the main cuts were in ICICI Bank, Baroda Bank (cut after MSCI incorporation) and State Bank of India

middle class:-
The major additions were Coforge and Syngene International Limited. Major cuts were Max Financial, The Phoenix Mills, Container Corporation and IDFC First Bank.

small cap:-
Major additions were Zensar Technology, Sapphire Foods, and Heritage Foods. The main cuts were RBL Bank, eClerx Services and Anand Rathi Wealth.

big cap:-
Major additions are Reliance Industries, TCS, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC and Bharti Airtel. Major reductions were Coal India, SBI Life, Britannia Industries, Bajaj Auto and Varun Beverage.

mid cap:- 
notable additions were Muhoot Finance, United Breweries, Astral, Bharat Forge and PayTM (One97). Major reductions came from L&T Technologies, JSW Energy, Tata Elxsi, Solar Industries and Aditya Birla Capital.

small cap:-
Key additions include BASF India, Natco Pharma, Azko Nobel, Tejas Network and Godfrey Phillips. Major cuts were Sundaram Clayton, CESC, Manappuram Fin, Eris Lifesciences and Route Mobile.

Aditya Birla SL Mutual Fund:-

Coforge, HDFC Bank and Axis Bank have been added significantly. The biggest reductions are Dr. Reddy's Lab, Tech Mahindra and Adani ports. Dishman Carbogen of Orient Denki and Styram Kogyo Co., Ltd. was a complete dropout but a newcomer.

Axis Mutual Fund:-

Notable additions were Shree Cement, Cholamandalam Finance, and M&M Finance. We cut Bajaj Finance, Divi's Lab, and ICICI Bank. New additions are Triveni Turbine and HindZinc, and Guj Fluorochem has been completely withdrawn.

DSP investment fund:-

The big additions are Equitas Small Finance, Bajaj Finance and ICICI Bank. The biggest cuts include SBI Life Insurance and Baroda Bank.
Equitas Small Finance and Gujarat Fluoro Chemicals were new entrants, while RHI Magnesita has fully exited. franklin templeton mutual fund
Key additions were Equitas Small Finance, Jubilant Food, and Sun PharmaInds. The fund has reduced its exposure to Equitas Small Finance, Ashok Leyland and Federal Bank. Additional listings included Kajaria Ceramics and Tata Chemicals, but Kayne's Tech is now fully discontinued.

HDFC Mutual Fund:-

The big additions were Titan Company and Tata Motors. The main cuts were ITC, Larsen & Toubro and Coal India. Narayana Hrudaya was a newcomer.
ICICI Prudential Investment Fund
The biggest additions were Reliance Industries and SBI Life Insurance. The fund cut ICICI Bank, ITC and TVS Motor. Piramal Pharma is a new addition and Kaynes Tech has completely exited.

kotak mutual fund:-

The big additions were HDFC, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and ITC. Notable reductions include ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries, and HDFC Bank.
Newly added Sundram Fasten while Sapphire Foods is complete
Exit.

SBI Mutual Fund:-

Notable additions were Tech Mahindra, Interglobe Aviation and Divi's Lab. The biggest cuts include State Bank of India, HDFC Bank and Axis Bank. Piramal Pharma is a recent addition.
